Votion Studios is a groundbreaking extended reality (XR) studio and virtual production facility in Hong Kong, equipped with cutting-edge tools and technologies that empower digital content creators, brands, and artists to realize their creative visions. As the first facility of its kind in the city, it is strategically located within the Data Technology Hub in TKO, seamlessly integrating XR technology with co-working and event spaces to foster collaboration.

In the heart of Hong Kong’s former aviation hub, the new Kai Tak Promenade breathes life back into a waterfront that once roared with jet engines. ARTA Architects have taken this 1,000-meter stretch and turned it into something altogether quieter, softer—and far more human.

Amid the neon jungle of Beijing’s Sanlitun, a container of light and shadow carrying the DNA of cinema is taking shape. In today’s hyper-competitive and homogenized cinema landscape, Oft Interiors and the Emperor Group, after a decade-long synergy, break through once more. This collaboration marks a deep handshake between leaders of the design and entertainment industries—a pioneering experiment in a “cinema space revolution.” This isn’t simply a matter of adding functions. It’s a reprogramming of the entire moviegoing experience, overturning the traditional value model of cinema time.

How do you breathe new life into a beloved heritage site without losing the soul that makes it special? This was the central question guiding ARTA Architects as they approached the revitalization of the Aberdeen Boat Club—an iconic institution with over four decades of history, nestled along Hong Kong’s southern coastline.

The Haikou Jiangdong Tiandi Mixed-Use Development, a transformative urban project in Hainan’s Jiangdong New District, has surpassed 80% construction progress, accelerating its vision to become the premier commercial and cultural landmark of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Designed by Woods Bagot in collaboration with CBRE and CAPOL International & Associates Group, this 130,000 square-meter project triumphed in an international competition against 42 firms, redefining sustainable urban living through a seamless fusion of commerce, culture, and coastal leisure.

In November 2023, the upscale restaurant brand Wanwea·Yuan under the Da Ya Li Restaurant Group quietly launched. DaQuan Wang from TANZO Space Design described the design process as somewhat painful like tough grass breaking through cracks. Still, the final result also reflects the name of the restaurant: Sketching an abstract, holistic beginning in a chaotic space, which becomes vivid and concrete as people enter.
