The Threaded — An Architecture of Connection: SANDEI at Jia CURATED 2026

From 13–17 August 2026, SANDEI took part in Jia CURATED at Pengembak Beach, Bali, presenting The Threaded — An Architecture of Connection, a collaborative pavilion with Coulisse INK, Le Chateau Living, and Dharmawan Living

Designed by SAO, the pavilion explored a simple idea: that meaningful spaces are shaped not by one element alone, but by the relationships between many. Rather than a single enclosed form, it unfolds as a sequence of modules opening at a 45-degree angle, allowing light, landscape, architecture, objects, and people to intertwine. Its modular architecture opened toward light, landscape, objects, and people, allowing boundaries between inside and outside, function and atmosphere, to gently soften.

Within the pavilion, SANDEI’s blinds and operable partitions worked alongside materials, lighting, technology, furniture, landscape, and everyday objects to create an evolving sensorial experience—shaping light, privacy, movement, and moments of gathering throughout the day. Bringing together different disciplines and perspectives, The Threaded reflected SANDEI’s belief in the transformative power of connection: when we listen, exchange ideas, and create together, individual elements become part of something more meaningful. Because a meaningful space is not created by one object, one material, or one person. It is created through connection.
