Jakarta, September 2025 – Indonesia Design Week (IDW) 2025, one of the most anticipated celebrations of design and creativity has returned. Taking place from 12–20 September 2025 at the Indonesia Design District (IDD), PIK 2, IDW gathers leading voices, brands, and communities to explore how design shapes not only the spaces we inhabit but also the identities we create and share.
For 2025, the theme IDEANTITY places Indonesian culture at the center of design. It emphasizes how creative expression can showcase individuality while also weaving into broader collective narratives of community, heritage, and innovation. Through IDEANTITY, Indonesia Design Week 2025 shines a spotlight on the DNA of Indonesian design, inviting visitors to explore questions of belonging, representation, and cultural identity in a design landscape that continues to evolve.
This year, Pavilion 120, a collaborative showroom between Mill Aluminium, Kayu Lapis Indonesia, and Sandei, becomes one of the key venues for Indonesia Design Week 2025. Designed by Andra Matin with interiors by Studio S+AO, the vertical landmark was built to showcase the synergy of materiality, craft, and vision. During the event, Pavilion 120 transforms into a hub of design encounters, where Sandei, together with its collaborators, invites visitors to experience moments of shared creativity.
Rooted in a spirit of curiosity and connection, Pavilion 120 introduces A Creative Hop as a way to reimagine how people experience design. Rather than viewing showrooms as isolated spaces, the journey presents them as interconnected chapters within a larger narrative. Guided by the playful symbolism of a rabbit, participants are encouraged to move with energy and openness, uncovering stories and inspiration at every stop along the way.
As part of Indonesia Design Week 2025, Pavilion 120 will host a diverse series of events that invite the public to experience design in playful and memorable ways. Each program is open to all visitors with prior RSVP, with the exception of the Sunset Soiree, which is by invitation only.
In collaboration with Pelant, the festival kicks off with a lively treasure hunt across multiple design showrooms in the Indonesia Design District. Participants will follow a trail of clues through destinations such as AlvinT, Stella Mobili, Fredhelligh, LUAR, Box Living, and Pavilion 120, before returning for snacks and an awarding session.
The Treasure Hunt transforms the district into a playground of design, blending curiosity, competition, and community.
Hosted live at Pavilion 120, Mario Wibowo leads an intimate podcast session with inspiring voices in design.
Guests include Mischa Moura Tanpomas, Georgina Joy Subianto, and interior architect Bran Suwandrei Arifin, each sharing unique perspectives on design.
This session offers audiences a chance to listen, reflect, and engage in dialogue with industry leaders.
The signature highlight of Pavilion 120’s program, Design Hoppers is a guided showroom tour where participants “hop” from one design destination to another, including AlvinT, Bika Living, Box Living, LUAR, Fredhelligh, Stella Mobili, and Pavilion 120. Each stop transforms a typical showroom visit into a connected, story-driven adventure. The journey begins with a shared lunch and ends at Pavilion 120, where guests gather for dinner, music, and celebration.
In collaboration with Pita, Pavilion 120 hosts an intimate dinner designed as a moment of reflection and connection among close collaborators. With décor by Cosa Project and dining curated by Guten Morgen, the evening captures the warmth of conversation and community against the backdrop of the setting sun. This event is by invitation only.
As Pavilion 120 opens its doors for Indonesia Design Week 2025, it stands as a reminder that design is an evolving journey shaped by collaboration, curiosity, and culture. By coming together under one roof, Sandei and its collaborators demonstrate how different materials, ideas, and perspectives can intersect to create something larger than the sum of its parts. More than a showcase, Pavilion 120 becomes a space where design lives, breathes, and continues to grow.
