On Xiaohongshu, China's most popular social media platform, COSMO has become a hit, with more than 70,000 notes, and "COSMO" has become one of the most popular travel words in Chengdu, along with "teahouse" and "Sanxingdui". Boasting an aquarium, cinemas, and even a dinosaur fossil, the Dubai Mall is nothing if not larger-than-life. Fittingly, for the mall’s newest extension Kokaistudios amplified key visual identifiers of Far East Asian culture – including fans, lanterns, and lattice – for an alternative take on traditional Chinatowns.

Located at the heart of Central, “Shuffle” is a playing-card-inspired executive lounge and club – offering a whole new night life entertainment experience in a modernised way, yet with a human touch. Inspired by the world of playing cards, the four symbols (Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds) and signature icons (King, Queen, Jack, Joker) were used as the language of design throughout the whole place to give a sense of completeness.
