For The Brook at Aura, Street + Garden collaborated closely with Urbis and Stockland to create a striking custom entry feature that establishes a strong sense of arrival and identity. The sculptural installation comprises flowing arrangements of folded steel blades that emerge from the landscape, their dynamic forms creating visual interest from every angle.
Each blade was carefully finished with a two-tone powder coat and folded in such a way that different colours reveal themselves depending on the viewer’s perspective. A considered gradient of colours was selected to introduce an added layer of visual complexity and depth to the feature, ensuring the installation reads as both cohesive and ever-changing as people move through the space.
Special consideration was given to materials and finish specification to ensure longevity, with durability and ease of maintenance paramount. Complementing the blades is a sculptural signage piece made from powder coated steel, folded and welded to spell out ‘The Brook’. This element reinforces placemaking, adds a vibrant pop to the precinct, and showcases the creative possibilities of sheet metal fabrication from our design team.
This project allowed Street + Garden to push the boundaries of custom fabrication and demonstrate our ability to deliver large-scale, site-specific installations that enhance public spaces. Working with Urbis and Stockland, we created an entry feature that does more than mark a location: it establishes character, invites curiosity, and strengthens community identity.
The result is a thoughtfully crafted arrival experience that reflects the ambition and vision behind The Brook, while showcasing the technical skill and design innovation that define Street + Garden’s approach to bespoke public realm projects.
