FytoRoof Lite46 - Trials Showing Outstanding Results

The performance trials of our FytoRoof Lite46 system at our Somerville head office have continued to show growth results nothing short of exceptional.

These trials highlight why FytoRoof Lite46 continues to outperform alternative lightweight options in real‑world performance:

Follow the Living Green Facade: Shore School (Sydney)

The Shore School PE Centre in Sydney features a beautifully integrated living green façade that demonstrates how elevated greenery can soften architecture, support microclimate benefits, and create a more welcoming environment for students and staff. 

The system uses Fytogreen’s specialised planter‑box façade approach — combining engineered growing media, efficient irrigation, and carefully selected plant species to ensure strong, long‑term performance in an exposed location.

The greenery delivers visual impact and the façade has evolved into a lush, layered landscape that enhances both the building and the wider campus. It’s a great example of how our green façade systems are designed for resilience, beauty and longevity.

Celebrating 24 Years of Fytogreen (EST. 2002)

On 14 February 2026, Fytogreen celebrated its 24th birthday — a milestone we’re immensely proud of. Founded in 2002 by horticultural innovator Geoff Heard, Fytogreen began with a mission to bridge the gap between nature and urban environments. 

Over two decades later, we have:

• Consulted on some of Australia’s most demanding and technically challenging Green Infrastructure projects.
• Supplied over 925,000m² of living architecture across the country. 
• Delivered hundreds of green roofs, walls, facades, planters and wetlands.
• Continue pushing innovation in engineered horticultural systems that prioritise sustainability and long‑term performance.

Project Spotlight: 360 Queen Street, Brisbane

Located in Brisbane’s vibrant Golden Triangle, the Queen Street development incorporates an impressive series of Fytogreen green walls that bring nature into the heart of the CBD. Fytogreen designed, consulted and installed:

• Eight fire‑compliant Fytofelt green walls
• Totalling 306 m² of living vertical greenery

These walls provide:

• Enhanced streetscape appeal
• Urban cooling and microclimate benefits
• A wellness‑focused visual connection to nature
