This option provides a finish where the shadowline detail turns down into the floor, aligning with the vertical stile of the door opening. As shown below, this method is achieved through a three-step installation process:

Cut a 45° triangular section from the AluBase skirting board. Discard the offcut and retain the main length and the corner piece.

Rotate remaining corner piece 90° and fit to length of AluBase skirting board.

Screw AluBase and angled piece into the plasterboard and caulk along the joint section.

This option allows the shadowline detail to terminate cleanly, creating an ultra-minimalist finish that enhances visual clarity within the overall interior design. It involves simply cutting the skirting with a straight-line finish to a length that achieves the desired visual gap.
