Nestled in the historic Bow Street Magistrates’ Court, the award-winning NoMad Hotel in London is renowned for its exquisite design and rich history. The Atrium, a central dining area, required a floor renovation that could withstand high foot traffic while complementing the opulent interior. The European Oak engineered plank floor in the Atrium initially struggled under the demands of the busy dining environment, showing signs of wear. To address this, Bona Traffic HD was chosen for its exceptional durability, paired with a white pigmented Bona Natural Primer to retain the natural look of the oak. The renovation was executed with precision, utilizing Bona’s low VOC products and dust-free sanding system, completed during a brief three-day shutdown. This approach ensured minimal disturbance to the business, despite the complexities presented by fixed furniture and structural pillars within the space.
